Marcelo Campos is a Brazilian mountain guide based in Chile since 2011, certified by ACGM/UIMLA. With over a decade of experience in Patagonia, he has guided expeditions across diverse regions of Chile — from scenic day hikes and multi-day journeys to high-mountain ascents and remote outdoor programs.
Since 2013, Marcelo has been involved in logistics for the Brazilian Antarctic Program, working in scientific field camps on the Antarctic continent. Since 2021, he has also worked as a freelance guide at Hotel AWA Puerto Varas, leading high-end experiences for an international clientele.
His background combines technical expertise, deep local knowledge, and a strong athletic foundation. Marcelo is also a high-performance rowing athlete, having trained and competed in Brazil and Chile since 2006 — a discipline that continues to shape his approach to guiding, endurance, planning, and risk management.
This same field experience supports Ensenada Tours’ DMC work, helping agencies, hotels and private groups design and operate tailor-made travel programs with certified guiding, local knowledge and reliable field logistics.
